Proto is a fantastic restaurant where the meat dishes are just as well prepared as the seafood. There is a formal dining room inside and more casual outdoor terrace. Proto has been a restaurant since 1886 and carries plenty of history. The restaurant provides excellent service and great attention to detail. Good idea to book in advance.

Dining

Dubrovnik is full of good restaurants and the small streets inside the Old Town are packed with them. The culinary standards are generally quite high and the choice of food is typically Croatian, as seafood dishes do have a very high priority. The Dalmatian ham is of course also one of the delights and an absolute ‘must taste’ starter dish. The restaurants are open until 11pm or midnight unless otherwise stated.
